Maybe Real Kimchi isn't Red

Not every man is gentleman, but every gentleman is man. Similar with Kimchi.
What if the RED Kimchi is mutated from the outside (Globalize not mutate), and the WHITE one is actually the pure blood Kimchi. Hahahahaha, that will be interesting.

"ISOLATED"
That's the first thing that my friend ask a professor in the starting of the class. This word might appear right for North Korea since they were trying to stand alone without any help from other country. On the other hand, few people might not agree with South Korea since they are actively contribut to our society, for example Korean wave (Halyu). However, somehow I didn't feel strange hearing this word entering my ear. I found it normal because South Korea has their own language and culture that is very unique, strong, beautiful, and different compare to other country beside Korea. It does seem like the culture itself come from the inside and there is no any interfere from the country nearby it. If you can't believe, let's take Vietnam as example since their border share with China. When I first saw Vietnamese traditional clothes, it seems like it give you a very strong China impression (No offense). However when a Korean wears Hanbok, it neither give you an impression of China nor Japan itself. This opinion and perception of Korea completely crushed by my professor in few minutes later.

"GLOBALIZATION"
It was the first word that he mention inside the class. Globalization doesn't mean accepting and adapting to other culture, but it means mixing other culture with your own culture. I was trying to think up the reason to help me understand and I arrive in two different reason. the first reason is a political geography. Since many decades ago, Korea was in the middle of the political heat between China and Japan. In addition after independence, Russia and USA interested in this mountain's land and end up making a war in 1950. The war itself divide Korea into two section, North and South. Another example of Korean globalization I can think of was Korean wave and technology effect on people around the world. Nowadays, Korea became a hot topic since 2010 and the sale of a television industry can increase up to three times. Not only that in my country and nearby, the trend of boy band and girl band full of handsome and beautiful woman is started since the successful of Super Junior itself. In conclusion, it is proven that the Korean culture like K-pop slowly mixed in to other country. These ideas globalization might be the answer that I can think so far after reading through various book and experience. Surprisingly, the professor didn't point that out and focus on something else.

"KIMCHI"
Wait what, why is Kimchi the example of globalization here? I don't understand. Isn't it the traditional food of Korea? Why is it connected to Globalization?

"ERROR 404: BRAIN NOT FOUND"
Well, that was my brain inside my class. I was usually active inside the class, but this time I was quite. It was so interested that I couldn't even open my mouth just like a kid listening to the night time story. Kimchi was actually not red, but in fact is white (Hypothesis, no one can tell it since there is no proof behind). There are two kind of Kimchi in Korea, red and white Kimchi. The white Kimchi is simply from fermented cabbage with sauce, while the other one from pepper sauce. However, the pepper was discover in America for the first time and it might come from trade from Japan itself. Many other traditional food like Kimbab (similar to Sushi or Onigiri from Japan) can be set of example of this. Yangnyom chicken is can be an easy example since the fried chicken is from western country, but the sauce itself only found in Korea. These mind blown theory of globalization might be the best to describe why Korea is globalize since thousand years ago. I think I will stop now because my stomach is starting to get hungry. See you next time.
